This ambitious project exploits the phenomenal structural capabilities of carbon nano tubes as a structural system. The sculptural nature of the project is derived from the hexagonal molecular structure of the carbon nano tubes. A hexagonal grid forms the planometric matrix which the structure of the tower follows. The structural members twist between nodal points on the grid as the project rises into the atmosphere. This twisting increases the rigidity of the tower as well as helps to modulate different spatial and programmatic zones. In addition the natural properties of the nano tubes also allows them to transfer electricity from the outer space power station down to the earthborn base of the tower.
