The brief for this competition was to develop a temporary space for a local school of film and television while fundraising and land acquisition took place for the construction of a new school building. As a temporary space within and existing office building the design solution took a maker / hacker attitude towards the production of media. Gear lockers and production pods were ganged around the core of the building while classroom and collaboration spaces were pulled to the exterior. The layout encourages a cross pollination between disciplines as students and faculty move throughout their day in a zig zag pattern between core and perimeter.
